Twisted Barrel Ale Kachirho (5%)

So here we go, the next stop in the Vermont yeast hip-wagon journey, Kachirho is a Session New England IPA brewed in collaboration with 8 Arch.
The thing is, this is a really good beer, superbly brewed and full of flavour, it’s been packed with oats to give it a rich round creamy body and it smells of fruit trifle, sweet and fruity and inviting.
The hops come at you in the form of Mosaic, Simcoe and Equinox (Ekuanot), slapping you about the cheeks with lime zest and lemon sherbet, steely basil leaves, orange marmalade and a hint of rolling tobacco, the yeast adding its own earthy fruitiness to the mix and making for a finish whose crisp bitterness cuts across the toffee, brioche and sugar syrup of the malting.
