Voyager is the name of Abbeydale’s IPA using different hops in each batch.
This time it’s Ekuanot, Galaxy and Cascade, and it’s a delight.
The beer pours a slightly cloudy gold with a big frothy head and smells of apricots and peaches, and taking a swig you’re met by the hops unapologetically slapping you with fresh steely herbal leaves, mango and marmalade, lemon bonbons and mown lawns.
Underpinning this pin sharp bright bitterness is a soft caramel, shortcake and honey malt that adds some much needed brown sugar roundness to the body of the beer.
Good stuff.
