Arcadian Brewing Co. First Draft Rye IPA (5%)

Now this I like.
Arcadian are based in Cardiff and this, a beer brewed using their tweaked home brew kit, does all the right things.
There’s sticky orange marmalade, lime leaves and and woody tobacco from the hops, bright and fresh with stinging nettles and mown lawns they feel extra sharp against the rich round brown sugar, shortbread and Ryvita of the rye based malting.
Towards the finish there’s a splash of brandy warmth and a little earthy yeast bite that has the beer ending in a satisfying gooey resinous redwood glob.
Good stuff.
