Bronckhorster Brewing Co. Royal RHA (6%)

Royal RHA is an English IPA, a beer that’s round and chewy yet crisp and clean, and a decent take on the style from this Dutch brewery.
The aroma is a light aniseed, walnut lemon curd mist that drifts up to you as you pour, while the beer sits a slightly fuzzy amber in your glass.
There’s a sticky caramel and toffee, biscuit and puff pastry malt and then there are the hops.
They do exactly what you’d expect British hops to do, with Burdock and hazel leaves, figs, apple cores and lemon zest, nettle tea and damp dewy hedgerow creating a very green pithy dryness in the finish.
Very nice.
