Abbeydale Brewery Citizen (5.8%)

Brewed to celebrate the birthday of local magazine proprietors, Opus, and wrapped in some beautiful artwork by Jim Spendlove, Citizen is an oat heavy NEIPA.
And yes, I know I wasn’t going to write about any more NEIPAs, but this one is a little different.
Instead of the obvious yeasty fruit blast you’d expect from this style, there’s a super creamy vanilla ice cream, caramel and honeycomb malt body followed by a sharp lemon sherbet and lime leaf citrus hit.
All in all Citizen is a super creamy IPA.
