Abbeydale Brewery Serenity (3.8%)

Serenity is Abbeydale‘ Session IPA Series, something is generally want to steer clear of.
But what Abbeydale have managed with this single hop (Idaho 7, for those interested) beer, is to create enough body to hold up the hoppy hit.
And the hoppy hit is big and fresh and fruity.
It’s piled high with pink grapefruit juice, mandarin skins and lime zest, bright and sharp and keen.
Underneath the malts are a subtle toffee and honey coated baguette crust, creating just enough backbone for the zesty bitter finish to not feel too thin.
