Coronado Brewing Islander IPA (7%)

Do you remember Pez fizzy sweets?
I think Coronado Brewing of San Diego have put some in this bottle.

There’s a very strong aroma of penny sweets to go with the flavours I remember from visiting the corner shop on the way home from school about 30 years ago.

But then there’s a big BANG of alcohol.
I don’t remember that from the corner shop 30 years ago.
The malting is deep and rich with a lovely hint of fried bananas.

As for the hopping.
It’s immense and dry and bitter and woody and it makes your tongue curl.

Yummy.
