@Ghostdrinker’s Poltergeist (6.66%)

We were teased on twitter by images of beautifully designed bottle labels.
There was talk in hushed tones that the blogging ghoul was making a beer.
Photos of actual bottles of this spectral brew started appearing.
And then, one evening last week I got home to find a small parcel waiting for me.
And inside was a bottle of @Ghostdrinker’s Poltergeist.

The cap was sealed with black wax which was a nice touch.
I broke through, popped the cap and took a whiff of rich, sticky tropical fruit sweets.
The beer is a lovely dark amber and sits all bold and brash in your glass.

I took a sip.

What can I say?
Spectre-tacular.
Delightful fruity sweets with a star anise spiced kick in the balls to back it up.
Yummy liquorice and aniseed flavours, followed by a brilliant dark and scary hop that has googly eyes.

Make more Ghosty!
