Belvoir Brewery Old Dalby Strong Ale (5.1%)

From Leicestershire though neither myself nor my wife recognise the place.
Pouring a chestnut brown with just enough sparkle, the first big flavour is hit, sticky toffee, covering and coating your palate.
Little sparks of black pepper heat jump in and are augmented with a dash of apple pulp.
The hopping is decent and makes for a crisp and lasting finish.
Not a bad beer at all.

Nota Geographica: I Googled the place and it’s near Melton Mowbray, fact fans.
