HardKnott Vitesse Noir (11%)

Brewed in partnership with Steven from Aletalk, this is simply brilliant.
I poured this into a HardKnott glass and it ran slow and thick and unctuous, and then sat in the glass daring to be drunk.
The smell of coffee is immense, but it’s the combined attack of vanilla, chocolate and coffee that knocks you out.
The coffee is rich, the chocolate is dark and bitter and the vanilla is beautifully sweet and rounded and, in a word, dreamy.
All of this is held aloft by a wonderful single malt heat from the massive hit of alcohol.
But the alcohol doesn’t burn, it just carries and enhances everything else.
Now I’ve stopped for a minute to type I’m getting almonds and brazil nuts, a great bang of palate cleansing hops and just the slightest touch of smokiness.
Man, everyone should try this.
