Magic Rock Brewing Human Cannonball (9.2%)

So, now I know why so many people voted for, and made this the CAMRGB Beer Of The Year.
The depth of flavour is astounding.
The bottle opens with a faceful of tropical fruits and mixed crushed peppercorns.
Sitting a deep, sticky honey in the glass, this is a beer that wants to be drunk.
Like Alice’s little bottle with the ‘Drink Me’ label, this is a strangely charming brew.
A whisky tinged heat underscores the fruit shortcake of the malts.
There’s raisins and sultanas and a dash of rum too.
Then the hops take your breath away.
Almost literally.
So intense are the flavours that you can pick them out individually.
Lemon and lime, mandarin, apple and pear, leafy elderflower, big kicks of peppercorns and a dash of chilli leave you gasping for the next mouthful.
A worthy winner and a new favourite.
