Ringwood Brewery Boondoggle (5%)

I’m reviewing this specifically because when I was first getting really into beer I liked this a lot and I’ve not had it for a good 18 months or more.
And so I thought it would be interesting to see (for me at least) what I think of it now.
And I have to say it still does it for me.
Boondoggle is a light pale ale with a big kick.
The aroma is caramel and pepper with a hint of sweet silage, and it sits in the glass a very shiny gold.
The body of the beer is apple cores and shortcake, some apricots and a warm hit of booze.
Over this the hops bite and pinch you with bitter back garden shrubs, white flowers and a squirt of lemon juice leaving a very long dry finish.
It’s still yummy.
