Rogues Ales Hazelnut Brown Nectar (6%)

If you don’t like hazelnuts then stay away from this beer.
I for one love hazelnuts and this beer is absolutely packed with them.
Pouring a deep mahogany with only the merest trace of a head the smell is hazelnuts
Roasted and brown and deliciously nutty hazelnuts.
It’s a sweet woody smell and I’d be happy to just sniff it all day, but this is beer and it demands drinking.
Imagine if you will a bar of chocolate.
Good chocolate with whole hazelnuts in it.
Now imagine melting it down and adding a touch of toffee for stickiness and a big boozy punch.
Then imagine adding some fine hops to give a resinous buzz and a palate drying finish.
Imagining?
Got it?
That’s this beer.
Hazelnut Brown Nectar is exactly what you’re imagining and I for one love your imagination.
