Purple Moose Brewery Dark Side Of The Moose (4.6%)

This dark ale from Purple Moose is a nice surprise.
It pours a mahogany red with a light head and smells of chocolate, rum and raisins.
I took a sip and found myself saying a single word out loud.
“Rolos.”
That’s what this beer tastes of.
Rolos.
And I like Rolos, so that’s a good thing.
Let’s break it down.
Dark Side Of The Moon has a very nice milk chocolate thickness with oozy toffee and a digestive biscuit tucked away inside.
It’s also full of roasted hazelnuts and cracked black pepper.
The hops are lightly citrus, leafy green and provide a decent if slightly weak bitterness to the finish.
All in all it’s rather nice, but would I share my last one?
