I was given this as part of a bottle swap and it’s a damned fine lager.
Pouring a very pale straw with only a trace of head I was expecting something super light but this little lager packs a pretty good punch.
The smell is caramel popcorn and a little spice, and the flavour begins with a big splash of runny honey, a little sweetcorn and some bruised apples.
There’s a fine crackling white pepper and a little sage around the edges with the hops adding dry, crispness with lots of leafy woody goodness, some sharp citrus and a nice fruitiness that leads into a very nice crisp finish.
