Bristol Beer Factory Independence (4.6%)

IndependenceI know it’s Christmas and I’ve got a load of Christmas beers but I jut needed something hoppy.
Independence has a gentle malt body, all caramel and shortbread, a little burned demerara and some nice spiciness at the edges.
The hops are very floral and full of green leafy herbs.
Lots of mint and basil, a little sage and then some garden weeds.
I mean that in a positive way.
You get a large blast of dandelions and grass clippings before the lemon and grapefruit tang of the finish.
Clean, crisp and fresh, this is just what I needed to clear the cobwebs away after Christmas dinner.
