Pete Drinks Coffee Stout (6%)

Coffee StoutMy first home brew of 2013 and what a way to start.
Pete’s Coffee Stout pours a nice dark mahogany with a very appetising and very fitting cappuccino head.
The aroma is big and bold and full of fresh coffee and brandy, and the flavour follows suit.
There’s an enormous black coffee beast that takes you by the tongue and drags you through toffee and biscotti before showing you the sharp dry hops with their lemon rind and lightly resinous woodiness.
You also get a nice hit of warm rum and raisin that sits in your stomach and heats you through as the finish lounges in velvety chocolate goodness.
Another winner from our Pete.
