From the apricots and spiced honey up your nose to the fried banana in your mouth, this is a very nice beer indeed.
B.I. – Weizen pours a good pale gold with a big granny’s wig of fluff for a head.
And it’s as you pour that the aroma wafts up to you, soft and rich and very inviting.
Taking a mouthful you get a lovely fat caramelised banana doused in vanilla, a little mustard seed and lots of runny honey.
There’s a subtle hint of Weetabix in the background, but that’s no bad thing and it adds some much needed weight to the body of the beer.
The hops are lemon juice sharp, with lots of green herbal leaves and the finish is good and crisp.
