Little Valley Brewery Tod’s Blonde (5%)

Tod's BlondeI rather like this.
It’s light and crisp, good and sharp.
Tod’s Blonde pours a bright gold with a lovely thick fluffy head.
The aroma is straw and honey and peaches, and on taking a sip you get an immediate bitter lemon tang with a light caramel and french bread background.
There’s a very nice brittle sapling wood and hazelnut greenness that builds as you drink and leaves you with a good long tart finish.
I like this very much but I’m not convinced it’s the alternative to lager that the label suggests.
