Old Dairy Brewery Red Top (3.8%)

Red TopRed Top is Old Dairy’s Best Bitter and it’s a rather nice straightforward beer.
It sits in your glass a warm chestnut red with only a light ring of bubbles for a head and its aroma is all malty biscuits and red fruit.
Taking a sip there’s nothing overly exciting here, just a good solid English Bitter with a big satisfying toffee coated digestive biscuit backbone that’s gooey and mouth-coating.
You get a snappy hop too.
It’s got a lemony tang and a fistful of brambles.
The finish is dry and crisp and rounded off with a little honey.
For me this is just what a Bitter should be.
