Dear Ossett Brewery,
I am drinking a pint of your Pale Ale called Excelsior and I rather like it.
To start with I like its sunny straw colour and the way it smells.
I like the pears and peaches wrapped in straw that Excelsior smells of.
I also like how the malts provide a really good caramel and biscuit body with a touch of black pepper heat and some apple juice in the background.
Finally I like the hops.
They’re zingy lemon fresh, snappy with citrus zest and have a rather nice flower petal soft pithiness that leaves a long, lingering and rather more-ish bitter finish.
Yours faithfully,
Simon (Aged 43)
