Sunbeam Ales Yorkshire Pale Ale (4.4%)

Yorkshire Pale AleWell, well, well.
Sunbeam Ales are, “The smallest brewery in Leeds,” brewing only 50L at a time.
If this bottle is anything to go by then 50L simply isn’t enough, as this is a lovely little beer.
Yorkshire Pale Ale is a light gold with a frothy white head and a smell that’s honey and apricots and sunshine, sweet and light and airy.
Taking a swig there’s a lovely soft, but very definitely there, peach flesh that sits on top of hay bales and caramel.
The hops are lemon rind sharp and wrapped in pithy fresh green leaves.
And then there’s a finish that’s bitter and dry but equally sweet and honeyed.
I’d be more than happy to attempt drinking all 50L to myself.
