Cheddar Ales Crown & Glory (4.7%)

Crown And GloryCheddar Ales’ Crown And Glory has a very nice soft honey and peaches smell, delicate and fruity sweet.
You get a good biscuit and caramel malt that provides a decent body, and over this there’s a big bunch of citrus tinged hops that give lots of sappy, resinous, hibiscus and lime rind sharpness.
But for all of this, this is my least favourite beer from Cheddar Ales.
It’s not got the character or the depth of flavour that I’ve found in their other brews.
It’s good and all, but this brewery can do far better.
