Peerless Brewing Co. Ltd. Hilbre Gold (4.5%)

Hibre GoldI have to say there’s a good snappy hop bite to this Golden Ale.
It’s sharp and floral and tinged with lemon rind, and it sits on top of a decent bruised apple juice, toffee and straw malt.
So, that’s the flavours dealt with, and Hilbre Gold smells pretty good too.
It’s a fruity and spicy honey whiff that really jumps out at you as you pour this sunny golden beer into your glass.
And right at the end there’s a lasting, crisp and bitter finish.
Not the most exciting beer in the world, but pretty good nonetheless.
