East London Brewing Co. Night Watchman (4.5%)

Night WatchmanRight from the off I have to say I poured this really badly and as a result I got a bit of a cloudy thick soup.
And that’s a shame as this beer tastes super.
Night Watchman is a Best Bitter that pours a dark mahogany brown with a nice creamy head.
The aroma is toffee, tobacco and red fruits, and the flavours begin with a hefty toffee, some very nice toasted bread and bran cereal, and a little honey and black pepper.
There are some good hops here too.
They’re hedgerow spiky, nettle sting sharp and chamomile tea satisfying.
All this makes for a big round mouth filling finish.
I only wish I’d poured it better.
