This is every bit as good as I hoped it would be.
As I popped the cap on this beautifully labelled 750ml bottle I was greeted with a gasp of sweet yeasty vapour and a fresh straw, apple juice and bread dough aroma grew as I poured this bright golden beer with its big frothy head into my glass.
The malts are light caramel, burned at the edges, a little All Spice and a dollop of runny honey.
There’s just a hint of pine resin and a big hit of bready, yeasty goodness before the combination of American and New Zealand hops kick in with their sharp lemon and kiwi fresh fruity bitterness.
And finally there’s a finish as satisfying as a gentle kiss from the girl (or boy) of your dreams.
It’s honey soft but speckled with a light sherbet fizz and a spicy dryness that leaves you giddy and swooning and wanting more.
