This is a collaboration with @MasterOfHoppets and it’s a “Lemon Infused Big IPA.”
It’s also rather marvellous, though initially I struggled to find the lemons.
Danish Monster (great name, great label) pours a rich amber and smells of resin and caramel.
The malting is absolutely superb, with a hefty round toffee that gives this beer a lovely thick body.
The hops are packed with resinous pine sap, grapefruit zest and sherbet fizz and then, right at the end, the hard to spot “lemon infusion” pops up with the childhood joy of sucking a Lemon Bonbon.
Yet another winner from the currently faultless Celt gang.
