Weisses Bräuhaus G. Schneider & Sohn Meiner Sommer Weisse (5.4%)

Meine Sommer WeissePresented in a lovely 750ml bottle, this is a beautiful summer Weissbier.
The smell is meadows and straw, earthy and floral, and the sunny golden beer pours with a big fluffy cloud of a head.
Taking a sip you get some banana and toffee, but there’s also a surprising and satisfying sour edge and lots of spiciness that pricks at you as you drink.
The hops are fresh and zippy, round and juicy, with plenty of green herbal leaves, lemon rind, apricots and a big scoop of grapefruit flesh.
All this makes for a long and drawn out bitter sweet finish heavy with flowers, garden clippings and a sharp citrus zest that just smacks of sunny summer days.
