This is a really decent Bitter.
The kind of beer you can happily sit with all evening while chatting with your mates.
It’s not a Wow! beer.
Not an earth shattering tongue twister.
Just a simple, well made, solid Best Bitter.
It pours a nice conker red and smells of pears and straw and yeasty dough.
The malt is soft and comfy, just biscuits and toffee.
And the hops are green and crisp, lightly herbal and spiked with lemon rind.
All this makes for a beer with a gently bitter citrus and honey finish.
Very nice indeed.
