The last of my haul of Maui cans and this one is a super fresh Saison infused with lemongrass.
The smell is yeasty apples and lemon juice, and the malt is a freshly baked apple strudel, lovely delicate pastry and all.
Over this there’s a lightly herbal fresh-as-a-daisy floral pithiness that’s cut through with sharp, slightly spicy lemongrass woodiness.
All this and a delightful creamy honeyed caramel that floats about under the bitter sweet citrus finish.
