Mikkeller Willamette (6.8&)

WillametteSingle hop IPA heaven, and this time it’s Willamette.
There’s the distinct fizzy taste of Love Hearts in this beer.
The smell is woody and peachy and the malts are, as with Galena, a solid base of toffee and biscuits.
And so Willamette, another American hop variety, is let loose across your tongue.
As I’ve said above, there’s definitely she sherbet fizz of Love Hearts, and they’re served to you in an old wicker basket.
All dry woody splinters, a little polish, and then soft pine resin, apricots and apple skins.
The finish is fizzy and fresh ad sweet with honeycomb.
Mikkeller make this kind of thing seem so effortless.
