Stroud Brewery Budding (4.5%)

BuddingBudding i an orange coloured Pale Ale that smells very nice indeed.
It’s all apple juice and foam sweets.
There’s a rather fruity malt, with apples from the aroma popping up coated in toffee and some chives and bread dough, not unlike a handful of onion bagel crumbs.
The hops are bramble jelly and nettles, lemon zest and peach flesh.
All very nice.
But there’s a slightly odd aftertaste that’s mildly sulphurous and unpleasantly bitter, and it spoils what otherwise is a very nice beer.
