Black Paw Brewery Dark Seam (5%)

Dark SeamWhat a good hoppy Porter this is.
Dark Seam is a purple black beer that smells of chocolate coated prunes.
There’s a big splash of coffee in the malts, dark chocolate, a spoonful of honey and some chunks of digestive biscuit.
And you get a good hoppy hit too.
It’s nettles and bracken, dew dampened like a wander through English woodland.
There’s hazelnuts and mown lawns too, all drizzled with lemon juice.
All this and a bitter dry chocolate coffee finish.
Very good indeed.
