There’s a lot here for a beer with an ABV of only 3.9%.
The colour is a very nice glowing sunny amber and the smell is apricots and mangos on a pile of straw.
The malting is good and rounded, biscuit crumbs and a dab of runny honey.
And there are plenty of hops here too.
Lemon rind and pink grapefruit, sherbet fizz, peach melba and mandarin pips all wrapped up in a woody, nutshell.
All this and a finish that’s bitter and cry.
In fact I enjoyed this beer more and more as I worked down the glass and the flavours built.
It really is a decent Pale Ale that punches well above its weight.
Very good indeed.
