More marvellous home brewing from my friend in the North.
This time it’s an American style IPA brewed with Chinook, Cascade, Colombus and Simcoe hops and boasting an IBU of 80.
Love & Haight pours a good orange marmalade with a fruity, chewy sweet aroma.
The malting is light and crisp, brittle caramel wafers and sesame seeds.
But that’s OK because this is all about the hops.
They’re fresh fruit juice rich and full of fizzing fun.
Sherbet coated lemon rind, mandarin flesh, grapefruit and a squeeze of lime make for a tongue twisting, lip numbing smack of bitter goodness and a finish that’s long and crisp and dry.
