From the off I have to say that I don’t find the colour of this beer very appetising.
It’s a dull and murky grey brown colour.
But that’s the only thing I can find wrong with Soundwave as from thereon in everything is just right.
The smell is a very nice fruity sweet shop clad in lemon rind, and there’s a decent honey biscuit malt with a pinch of pepper and some nice red pepper skins.
The hops are sharp citrus, packed with lemon flesh and lime juice, gooseberries, mango and satsuma, a veritable fruit cocktail.
Soundwave’s finish is long and fizzy and super bitter and really very nice indeed.
But boy, it’s not pretty to look at.
