Lymestone Brewery Stone Dead (6.66%)

Stone DeadI didn’t want to do this, to write a cod spooky review for a Halloween beer, but my pen got the better of me.
Apologies in advance.

This might be the best Lymestone beer I’ve had so far.
Stone Dead is a Stout brewed for Halloween and it’s rich and thick and yummy.
It pours as black as a witches nightgown and stinks of black coffee and wooden stakes in darkened graveyards.
The malting is wholemeal toast burned on a pyre, singed and then strapped to a ducking stool before being dunked into gloopy bitter chocolate.
The hops are Freddy’s fingers, knife sharp and keen to cut as you enjoy your dance of death.
Sorry the dance of garden foliage and lemon pips before the finish goes all thick and honeyed, long and dry.
Stone Dead is dead good.
Boo!
