Kinver Brewery May Bug (4.8%)

May BugHere we go again.
This is a “Bottle Conditioned Lager Beer.”
Brewed with Lager malts and German hops, there’s a pronounced Ale-y feel rather than the knife sharp crispness I’d expect form a Lager.
That’s not to say that I don’t like this, and in fact I like it rather a lot.
There’s crusty bread and honey malts with a lightly spiced bitter green herbal hopping that sets your teeth on edge and leads you towards a good clean and dry finish.
But is this a “Bottle Conditioned Lager”?
I’ll only be convinced if someone who knows can tell me that this been has been Lagered, because this feels for all the world like a Pale Ale with some German ingredients.
