Buxton Brewery Jaw Gate (5.9%)

Jaw GateJaw Gate is a big, chewy, fruity bagful of jelly sweets doused in white rum.
It’s warm and sharp and bitter, pouring a deep amber with a smell of peaches and mango, grapefruit and booze.
The malting is biscuity and coated in toffee, all round and gooey, but it’s the hops that are the main attraction.
They’re all the fruitiness mentioned above plus a good pithy bitterness and sherbet fizz that makes for a knife sharp finish that goes on and on.
What a great little Pale Ale this is.
