Penpont Brewery Shipwreck Coast (4.4%)

Shipwreck CoastShipwreck Coast smells of strawberries and Iced Gems.
There’s a very nice peachy fruitiness to the body of this beer, the malts giving you a good heather honey richness, while the Iced Gems pop up again to bring you that childhood mixture of biscuit and fruity icing that you only ever seemed to be given when visiting an elderly auntie.
The hops are good too.
Lots of tangerines and mandarins, all orange and rich and pithy, spiky with zest and laced with sherbet.
All this makes for a long finish that’s crisp and dry.
A very good beer indeed.
