This light golden beer pours with the soft aroma of orchard fruit, honey and hay.
The malting is shortbread and caramel and a little black pepper, and there’s a decent spiky hopping that gives a piquant herbal green leafiness that leads into a long dry finish.
All rather nice and easy to drink, however I’m struggling to find any of the honey that this beer has been brewed with, save for the light waft in the smell and the merest hint in the background as I drink.
If I’d poured this drink not knowing it was a honey beer I’d never have guessed.
Nice though.
