Axholme Brewing Co. Best Bitter (3.8%)

Best BitterI’m very impressed with this.
It’s a Best Bitter with a big flavour given its reasonably low ABV.
Pouring a good copper colour, the smell is fruity icing, straw and biscuits.
And taking a swig you quickly find out that this is a biscuit heavy beer.
Lots of digestives, rich toffee and apple juice and then sharp peppery hops, all rocket and lemon tea, tobacco and grapefruit skins that make for a long dry, bitter finish.
Axholme’s Best Bitter is a very good beer indeed.
