Brouwerij St. Bernardus Wit (5.5%)

WitPart of St. Bernardus’ Pierre Celis Signature Selection, this is a really nice little wheat beer that’s full of vanilla ice cream and bananas, both in the smell and the flavour.
There’s a good spicy nutmeg yeast that’s all cloves, salt and pepper, and a lightly baked pastry and honey malt with a hint of fried bananas on the side.
The hops are lemon zest and hazel leaves, crisp and dry, they add a good sharp bitterness to the finish.
Very refreshing, very easy drinking.
