Mad Hatter Brewing Co. Wapping Mad (4.2%)

Wapping MadThis is a juicy little number.
Wapping Mad is a hop heavy Amber Ale that sits in my glass looking deep and inviting and, well, how do I put it?
Amber.
It smells of Fruitella and toffee and tastes the same.
At least to begin with.
My first mouthful was packed with sweet jelly fruitiness, mango and mandarin and kiwi, but it’s posh sweets as there’s hibiscus and passion fruit floating around too.
But slowly a big biscuity malt starts to take over, all crunchy and laced with runny honey.
And then in the finish the hops are back with a sharp zesty citrus peel that leaves a crisp, dry bitterness that just won’t go.
