I have a real soft spot for Chinook, based on it being the hop that Revolutions Brewing used for the IPA they made for my band a few years ago.
For me Chinook is a peachy, grapefruit beasty wearing resinous wooden pants.
It’s sap heavy and wonderfully pithy, and here it’s shown off beautifully, sitting as it does on a subtle shortcake and honey malt base.
The smell is airy fresh orchard fruit and toffee, and the beer is a lovely bright orange in my glass.
More goodness from The Kernel.
