Bad Seed Brewery Spiced Blueberry Oat Ale (5.1%)

Spiced Blueberry Oat AleThis is peculiar.
Peculiar good, but peculiar nonetheless.
To begin with, this beer smells like a blueberry bagel.
Simple as that.
And then you take a sip and you get a mouthful of, well, how do I put this?
Bagel.
Toasted bran and oats, a sprinkling of cinnamon and a pinch of nutmeg, there’s even a light buttery feeling that coats your tongue while the blueberries dance around amongst the lemon rind and hedgerow spikiness of the hops leaving you with a prickly spiced honey finish.
Peculiar, but in the most lovely way.
