Beavertown Brewery Quelle Saison (4.1%)

Quelle SaisonFunky, porcini mushroom, damp straw grooviness.
That’s Quelle Saison.
This is a light golden beer with a gently spiced meaty honey aroma and a fluffy head like a granny’s hairdo.
The malting is laid back and lazy, lounging around all fill of shortcake and runny honey, sticky and chewy and as relaxed as can be.
In opposition to this the hops are sparky and bright, zesty with lemon rind and zippy with grapefruit while wearing flowers in its hair.
And all this is underscored by the funky yeast spiciness, nearly sweaty, but rather sexy.
In a nutshell, I like Quelle Saison.
Quelle surprise!
