Flipside Brewery Copper Penny (4.2%)

Copper PennyPouring a deep amber, Copper Penny is a decent Bitter with a smell of fruity toffee biscuits.
And biscuits is where this beer starts as you drink.
Lots of crumbly well baked digestives, caramel at the edges, some good burned molasses bitter sweetness and a pinch of salt and pepper.
The hops are sharp and spiky with lots of nettle leaves, dandelions, lemon rind and just a hint of mandarin.
All this makes for a very satisfying beer with a good crisp finish.
