Saison yeast, barrel ageing and blended with sour beer, this could go a number of different ways.
Unfortunately it’s gone down the middle of the road, and though drinkable I think I’ve finally found a Kernel beer that I’m not overly keen on.
You see, it’s all a bit one dimensional.
You get all the flavours you’d expect from a barrel aged sour blended saison yeast powered beer, but with none of the nuances, none of the depth.
Everything just washes over you and disappears leaving you with very little to be interested by.
This is poor for Kernel, though everything’s relative.
