I’m constantly blown away by our home brewers and this is no exception.
Guatemalan Insanity Stout (great name) is a coffee Stout that pours as black as pitch with a thick creamy cappuccino head and a smell that’s all red fruit and espresso.
The beer feels thick and luxurious with malts packed with burned toast, prunes, coffee and bitter chocolate.
The hopping is all crunchy red autumnal leaf litter, a little earthy mushroom meatiness and a sharp lemon and lime zing that brightens everything beautifully.
This is super brewing that’s a match for many professional breweries.
Thanks very much to Dave (@KungFuRamone) for sending me this Macclesfield Homebrew.
